Vintage Japanese Teapot by Baigetsu (梅月) – Late Showa Era (1970s–80s)
Crafted approximately 40 years ago, this teapot reflects the refined simplicity characteristic of the late Showa period.
Made from high-quality red clay with a soft glow and smooth surface, its quiet elegance lies in its minimal form—a bold handle, tight-fitting lid, and a 270ml capacity. The teapot remains unused.
During this time, Japan’s tea culture was still deeply rooted in daily life. Many artisans created teapots that, while modest in appearance, showcased the excellence of materials and craftsmanship. This piece by Baigetsu is a beautiful example—letting the quality of the clay speak through its simplicity.
