Toju passed away in 2022. He spent nearly seventy years earnestly engaging with his clay, crafting his own unique world.

Toju was dedicated to using a particular type of clay, striving to create captivating expressions with it. This teapot, besides its distinctive shape, embodies the essence of his craftsmanship through its texture. It excels in functionality as well: lightweight, easy to hold, and pour. The lid fits snugly, ensuring smooth water flow. Its charm and excellence are evident even just by looking at it.

Not refering to past works in history, this teapot is a unique creation born from Toju’s engagement with his clay for the long years of time.
