Artist of the teapot is Yokei Mizuno, born in 1956, great teapot artist in Tokoname. Elegance and simplicity coexist in his works.

Soft orange rice straw fire line (hidasuki) on dark grey is impressive.  

 Dried rice straw were used to make orange lines for the teapot. This is traditional ceramic decoration technique in Japan. 

Artist bind(wrap) teapot using dried rice straw before firing.

During firing components of rice straw and clay react and make beautiful colors.

Thin body, smooth water flow.
