HOKUJO Showa period Red clay tea cups. Red clay cups nowadays are not produced so much. They were made often in 30-40 years ago in Tokoname or Sado, where produce red clay. (but production volume is not so much at that time, either) It reminds Japanese people good old time of tea time. Hokujo tea cups have sophisticate shape, very nice finishing of foot ring. Smooth texture in your hand and lips , good size, color of the age, modest patter (scenery).
